William Henzell’s Profile

William Henzell took up table tennis at the age of 6. At the age of 14, William left his family and moved to Europe to improve his game, spending 10 years in Sweden and the 2 years in Germany.

 

William Henzell is now ranked No 1 in Australia men’s.

 

He has represented Australia in;

  • 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games
  • 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games
  • 6 World Championships

 

He is regarded as one of the best players in Australia. His achievements include;

  • 2006 Commonwealth Games Men's Singles Silver Medal
  • 7 times Australian National Champion - 2001, 02, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09
  • 4 times Australian Open Champion - 2005, 07, 08, 09
  • 2004 and 2006 Oceania Champion
